While some residents of Hunterdon County may already know their name, the new store in New Hope, New Jersey, will open in the next few weeks.
New Hope is a picturesque small town right on the Delaware River, and there is plenty to do and see on beautiful Main Street, highlighted by the beautiful Pineapple Hill Inn, the Carriage House of New Hope and the Towpath Trail. Downtown New Hope has a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, shops and restaurants as well as a number of restaurants and bars. Carriages House in New Hopes is filled with modern amenities and idyllic views, Pineapples Hill Inn is beautifully decorated with hand-picked antiques, and porches along the towpath are a hidden, secluded retreat.
Learn about the history of New Hope on hikes and take your children on a walk along the Towpath Trail to find native wildflowers, meadows and streams. Take advantage of the Stephen J. Buck Auditorium and stroll through the Bucks County Playhouse, built in the early 20th century, which hosts a variety of musicals, plays, concerts and other events for children and adults.
The school is divided into three divisions: boys', girls' and men's and women's football. NHS competes in PIAA division I State Division II League and the Pennsylvania High School Athletic Association. In 2006, the boy's football team made it to the state final, beating Mercyhurst Prep 2-1. Girls "football teams have made the journey from the first round of the state playoffs to the BHSAA quarterfinals every year since in each of their first two years at school.
The Lions won 4-3 against SOL opponents to secure the Independence Conference crown and reach the quarterfinals of the BHSAA Division I State Division II League for the second year in a row. Solebury did for New Hope what no other team has managed this year: to beat Lewisburg. Now it is known as Saint Basil, which secured the SOL title and the corresponding national tournament place in its first year of existence.
Chrencik contributed 350 points, which the Lions won 21-6, but New Hope also overtook their SOL rivals. Saxton is good for 300 points a season and is on track to break the 1,000-point mark for the first time in his high school career. The team also has Reagan, a 5-11 freshman who chipped in 13 in the District's one semifinal and tapped in 11 in the final.
Vlahovic, who is looking forward to the college-level sport and hit the winning basket with a three-point shot, was just seven ticks off the clock. McKenna has been closely linked to his family since he was diagnosed with brain cancer a year ago, leaving behind his wife and two daughters, Emily, a younger one at Notre Dame and an older one at New Hope.
After a week in rehab, he was released and told his parents Kevin and Christie that he wanted to work with Vlahovic again. His condition deteriorated last month and he died Sunday at home surrounded by his family.
New Hope's Solebury High School is home to Vlahovic and his wife Christie, as well as his son Ryan. The organization is in the hands of the athletic department of New Hope High School, and the memorial donations can go to the athletics department of the school or the Vlaicovic family.
